Healthy Body, Healthy Mind to Study!

It is necessary to stay healthy and relaxed to reduce stress in studying, working, and living.

Dr. John J. Ratey, an associate professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School explored the connection between exercise and the brain. He provided strong evidence that aerobic exercise physically remodels the brain for peak performance on all fronts.

The Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) is an international assessment that measures 15-year-old students’ reading, mathematics, and science literacy every three years. First conducted in 2000.

PISA 2018 Mathematics Results:

  1. China (Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang) 591
  2. Singapore 569
  3. Macao 558
  4. Hong Kong, China 551
  5. Taiwan 531

The results of the global Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) rankings for 2018 have been released, and Singapore has slipped to second place in all three categories measured—reading, mathematics and science. Though the powerhouse that is China has risen to take first place across all three subjects, Singapore students maintain a firm hold on some of the highest average scores globally.

In the latest PISA results for the year 2018, Chinese students outperformed all other students in the world in reading, mathematics and science, with average scores of 555, 591, and 590 respectively.
Singapore, which held the top spot in the rankings for 2015 (the last time PISA was undertaken), was bumped to second place all around, thanks to China’s monumental rise in all three subjects measured.

These results show China and Singapore are competing for the top place but do not reveal the number of physical exercises their students go through! For instance, in Shanghai, the students have to do daily exercises and jog together as a class. In Singapore, due to its army conscription for all healthy males above 18 years old, they have maintained a very good exercise program for all their school children since the middle of the 1960s. I have gone through the system there and kept fit till now at age 65.

Exercise help in studies!

But I fully understand that Asian students and college students don’t have much time to exercise. So in my Study Skills System, I will teach you a daily ONE-minute exercise. If you do this exercise for 300 days a year, it is equivalent to 45 miles of jogging a year. It is more than jogging twice around Hong Kong Island! Very effective.

Is this better than a lack of a planned exercise?

If you decide not to purchase my learning skills system, I appreciate the time you spent reading my article so far. So allow me to give you some good health advice to repay your time. First thing in the morning, drink two glasses (500 ml) of warm raw water around 40 degrees Celsius.

I recommend you try this water-drinking ritual with your family. Before you start, go through a medical check-up and then go for a follow-up medical checkup 3 or 6 months later and see the difference.

“Commonsense but not common practice!”

Simple. Yet not many people do it. Knowledge of the benefits will encourage you to do it. So please read the following reasons pertaining to the benefits of my simple common sense recommendation.

“Why you should drink water first thing every day?”

Ryan W. Miller
USA TODAY, January 23, 2020

Overnight, the body can become relatively dehydrated, says Dr. Maria Peña, who specializes in obesity medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Additionally, rehydrating first thing in the morning helps build a healthy habit and can build a routine that will allow people to get enough water for the entire day, Pena says.

“By hydrating more, you’re getting rid of bad bacteria in your system, and it allows good bacteria in your gut to grow”

Peña also said.

By drinking water, a person will urinate more and have more bowel movements, she said, which is the body’s natural way of getting rid of waste.

“It’s a way of cleaning out toxins in the system”

added Pena.

Proper hydration also aids our bodies. It keeps skin plump and joints lubricated, Peña says. Additionally, drinking water can help with fatigue, often felt in the morning, she said.
